BIOGRAPHY
Eric Mallory Morgan is an ex-Oregonian, ex-New Yorker, ex-Louisianan who writes and lives in Los Angeles. He received a B.A. in Writing and Visual Arts from Sarah Lawrence College and recently completed his MFA in Screenwriting at UCLA. He is a back-to-back winner of the Samuel Goldwyn Writing Award, a feat accomplished only three times in the sixty year history of the prize (First Place in 2016 for Tonya, Third Place in 2017 for Hole in the Sky). His pilot, Happy Couple won the 2018 UCLA Screenwriting Showcase. Eric was selected for the inaugural 2018 Storytelling Institute at Festival de Cannes — a French / American writing lab sponsored by the festival and Vivendi-Canal Plus.
Eric's sportswriting has been featured in Howler Magazine and at deadspin.com.
In his early 20s, Eric co-created a reality-TV cooking gameshow, $12 Challenge, for the Food Network’s, Food2 platform. Nowadays, Eric spends as much time as possible at home with his two cats, Gertrude Stein and Bread Puddin’.
